2019 LG TV users now can access the Apple TV App

The users of 2018 model will get the app later this year.

Last year, Airplay 2 and HomeKit was added to LG TVs by the company with firmware updates. Now, the brand announced the add up of Apple TV app last month with full features including video bits from iTunes and complete access to Apple TV+ service. For 2019 OLED TVs and high-end LCD TVs, the app is already made available, and other specific LCD series (UM7X & UM6X) can expect within this month.

With the release of the app, the users need not buy an Apple TV device or use the Airplay to watch Apple offering videos and many shows in Dolby Vision HDR. Last year, Samsung Smart TV users had access to the app, and this year it’s coming for much wider screens. The upcoming LG TVs in 2020 will have the app after the launch, and those with 2018 models will get the Apple TV app it through a firmware update this year.
