WhatsApp Released Companion Mode on Android Beta

WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature called Companion Mode.

For some beta testers, WhatsApp has rolled out a new update called Companion Mode. With the help of this feature, users can link multiple smartphones to their existing WhatsApp accounts. You can link the account up to four smartphones. It doesn’t include the WhatsApp web version.

Once your account is linked to the new mobile phone, all your chat history will be synched to all the linked devices. Even if the primary device is out of the network area, you can use WhatsApp on the secondary device to communicate with friends and family members.

Your messages and calls will be protected with the help of end-to-end encryption. If you send a message to some on WhatsApp, it will appear on all devices.

Since the feature is available on the Beta version, some features like viewing live locations, managing broadcasts, and live Stickers are unavailable. You can get this only if you are an existing beta tester. Currently, WhatsApp has closed the beta testing program for new users.
