The PUBG Mobile Pro League, South Asia event, has been made online only event due to the outbreak of coronavirus, announced Tencent and PUBG Corporation. Then the Americas Pro League and World League events are postponed and to be conducted later this year. The Director of PUBG Mobile Global Esports, James Yang said “The health of our players, staff and contractors are our highest priority. While we’re saddened to postpone our tournament, we’re dedicated to ensure the safety of everyone involved”.
To avoid spreading of coronavirus, EA and Blizzard have already cancelled the esports events, so the postponement of PUBG events isn’t surprising. Others tournaments besides games events have also been cancelled or postponed. E3 has cancelled its annual trade show for the first time since 1995. All manufacturing companies should plan for online streaming events to publish their new products.
