Xfinity Stream is a TV everywhere app where you can get 200+ live TV channels from different networks. In addition to live TV channels, Xfinity allows you to watch various on-demand content on your big screen. Unfortunately, the app is not available for Vizio Smart TV. So, there is no way to download the Xfinity app on your Vizio Smart TV. If you want to access the Xfinity Stream app on your Vizio Smart TV, you need to use the built-in Cast feature or any external streaming device.
How to Cast or AirPlay Xfinity Stream on Vizio Smart TV
Xfinity Stream has a built-in Cast feature on Android and iOS smartphones. With that, you can easily cast the video content from the Xfinity Stream app to your Vizio Smart TV. Connect your Android or iPhone to the same WiFi network as your Vizio Smart TV.
1) If you are using AirPlay, you have to enable the AirPlay feature on Vizio Smart TV. If you are using an Android smartphone, skip to step no. 6.
2) Tap the Smartcast button on the Vizio TV remote.
3) Navigate to the Extras and locate the AirPlay option.
4) Turn on the AirPlay feature on your Vizio Smart TV.
5) When it is turned on, you will see both the AirPlay and Casts icons on the top of the TV screen.
6) Now, take your smartphone and open the Xfinity Stream app. Install the Xfinity Stream app from the Play Store or App Store.
7) Open the Xfinity Stream app and play any video title.
8) On the playback screen, tap the AirPlay or Cast icon.
9) Your smartphone will search for nearby cast devices. Tap on your Vizio Smart TV when detected.
10) Then, play any video content from the Xfinity Stream app. it will appear on your Vizio Smart TV.
Alternate Way to Get Xfinity App on Vizio Smart TV
The Xfinity Stream app is available on streaming devices like Roku and Firestick. You can connect any of those external streaming devices to your Vizio TV and install the Xfinity app.
Xfinity App on VIZIO Smart TV through Roku
1) Connect your Roku streaming device with an HDMI port on VIZIO smart TV.
2) Turn on your Roku and VIZIO TV.
3) Now, enter the Roku Sign-in credentials and complete the setup process for Roku.
4) Select the Streaming channels option from the Roku home screen.
5) Search for the Xfinity app and select Add channel.
6) Then, select the Go to channel option, and it will download the Xfinity app on your Roku device.
7) Once the app is installed, launch the app. Now, you can stream all the Xfinity content on your VIZIO Smart TV.
Xfinity App on VIZIO Smart TV through Firestick
Xfinity App is not an official app found on Amazon App Store. So you can sideload the app on your Firestick. To sideload the apps on Firestick, you need to install either Downloader or ES File Explorer app on your Firestick.
1) Connect your Firestick with the HDMI port on VIZIO smart TV.
2) Turn on your Firestick and go to the Home screen.
3) Search for and install the Downloader or ES File Explorer app on your Firestick.
4) Enter the Xfinity Stream APK URL (https://rb.gy/ahmm1g) in the Downloader address bar and click GO.
5) Select the Download and choose the Install option; it will start the installation process.
6) Once the Xfinity app is installed, click Open to launch the app on your Firestick.
7) Now, you can stream your favorite movies, TV shows and watch live channels on VIZIO smart TV.
Cast Xfinity Website to VIZIO Smart TV
Using your Windows or Mac PC, you can cast the Xfinity Stream website on your TV.
1) Connect your Chromecast device to the HDMI port on VIZIO TV.
2) Connect your PC and Chromecast device to the same WiFi network.
3) Open the Chrome browser and visit the Xfinity Stream website (https://www.xfinity.com/stream/).
4) Right-click on the web page and select the Cast option.
5) It will search for the available device. Click on the Sources drop-down box and select the Cast Tab option.
6) Now, click on your Chromecast device name to cast the tab on your Vizio TV.
