YouTube Music is one of the audio streaming services preferred by users across the world. With the YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscription, you can listen to ad-free songs without limitations. Like other music services, it also supports downloading tracks and playlists for offline streaming. Owned by Google, YouTube Music is compatible with Google Chromecast. It means you can listen to all your favorite songs on the TV by casting them from a smartphone or PC.
Steps to Chromecast YouTube Music to TV
There are two different ways to Chromecast YouTube Music. Either, you can cast it from the YouTube Music app installed on your Android/iPhone or by using the Chrome browser on Windows or Mac.
Cast YouTube Music Using Android/iPhone
Step 1 – Launch the YouTube Music app and sign in with your Google account.
Step 2 – Ensure that your Android device/iPhone was connected to the same network as Chromecast.
Step 3 – On YouTube Music app, find and select the song you want.
Step 4 – Click the Cast icon that you can find at the top right corner.
Step 5 – Select your Chromecast device and the song will play on the TV immediately.
Step 6 – To stop the casting, click the Cast icon again and choose the Disconnect option.
Cast YouTube Music Using Chrome Browser on PC/Mac
Step 1 – Launch the Chrome browser on your Mac or Windows PC and ensure that the PC was connected to the same network as Chromecast.
Step 2 – Visit music.youtube.com and sign in to your Google account.
Step 3 – Right-click anywhere on the screen and click the Cast menu.
Step 4 – The browser will search for nearby devices. Select your Chromecast device from the list.
Step 5 – Once the PC screen was mirrored on the screen, select and play the YouTube Music title you want.
Step 6 – The selected song will play on the Chromecast connected TV screen immediately.
Step 7 – To stop the casting, click the Cast icon on the Chrome’s extension bar and select your Chromecast device to disconnect it.
