  1. I gave this a try from a Fedora workstation. I can cast to my Roku without problems from YouTube running in Chrome.
    When I bring up the Playback/Rendered option it lists only ,local> and ‘Scanning …’ greyed out.

  2. Try plex. That will do what you need. There are a few more steps since you need to
    make an account, but it works.
