Make sure to update WhatsApp to the latest version on your Smartphone.

(1). Launch WhatsApp on your smartphone.

(2). Open a conversation under the Chat tab or click on the bubble icon to choose a contact.

(3). Make a tap on the text field in which you will type the message.

(4). The on-screen keyboard will appear. Press the keys to type in the message for which you want to change the font style.

(5). Highlight to select the word to which you want to change the font style.

(6). Choose between Bold, Italics, Strikethrough, and Monospace. Tap on the Send icon.

The following procedure is also applicable for WhatsApp Web version.

Note: Make sure you aren’t leaving space after the respective symbols, both at the beginning and end.
