IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is a streaming platform for instantly watching live TV channels and on-demand content. Those contents can be streamed with the help of certain media players. The IPTV media players will help you watch your favorite content by providing the required M3U Playlist URL or login id/password (offered by the IPTV provider). Moreover, some of the IPTV players also come with built-in support to cast the media on bigger screens via Chromecast.
Best IPTV Players for Chromecast
There are several IPTV players available for smartphones with built-in cast support. Some of them are,
- GSE Smart IPTV
- Simple IPTV
- Perfect Player IPTV
- IPTV Smarters PRO
- VLC Media Player
- IPTV by Alexander Sofronov
These players are officially on both Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS). Recently, GSE SMART IPTV has been removed from the Play Store. Let’s discuss the procedure to cast IPTV contents on Chromecast.
How to Cast IPTV on Chromecast
You can cast IPTV on Chromecast from smartphones as well as PC. We have used the GSE Smart IPTV player for smartphones, and for PC, we have used the VLC player for demonstration.
Chromecast IPTV Using Android
Instead of the GSE SMART IPTV app, you can use the Simple IPTV Player app to cast the IPTV videos. Make sure that your smartphone and Chromecast are connected to the same WiFi connection.
Install the Simple IPTV app from the Play Store.
 Open the Simple IPTV app.
 Click the Plus (+) icon.
Tap the Add URL button to enter the IPTV URL. If you have the credentials in a zip file, click the Open file option and choose the IPTV file.
At first, it might take two or three minutes to load the content.
Then, you will get all the live TV channels and on-demand content from your IPTV provider.
Now, go to the Notification center and tap the Cast or Screen Mirroring icon.
Choose your Chromecast device. The IPTV content will appear on the TV screen.
Chromecast IPTV Using iOS
Before casting GSE Smart IPTV, make sure that your smartphone and Chromecast device is on the same WiFi network. GSE Smart IPTV app supports multiple languages (31 languages) along with parental control support.
#1 Plugin Chromecast device to the TV’s HDMI port.
#2 Install the GSE Smart IPTV app from Google Play Store and App Store on your Android and iPhone.
#3 Click the + icon on the app home screen and choose either Add M3U URL or Add JSON URL based on the login option given by your IPTV provider.
#4 Provide a Playlist name and configure the login details to get IPTV.
#5 Select the TV channel or on-demand content to stream and click the Cast button at the top.
#6 Choose your Chromecast device, and then the IPTV content will be cast on your TV screen.
Chromecast IPTV Using PC/Laptop
The VLC media player is one of the best IPTV players for Windows and Mac computers. You can use your PC for streaming IPTV content. Ensure that the PC and the Chromecast are connected to the same WiFi network.
#1 Launch the Google Chrome browser on your PC.
#2 Click the three vertical dot icons and select Cast in the options.
#3 Click the drop-down icon next to the Sources tab and choose Cast Desktop.
#4 Now, choose your Chromecast device, and the PC screen will mirror the TV.
#5 Open the VLC media player on your PC and select Media at the top. Tap Open Network Stream.
#5 Click the Network tab and type the IPTV link in the network URL section.
#6 Wait for VLC to load the contents.
#7 Select and play the title you want. It will mirror on the TV screen.
You can also install and use the IPTV players that are convenient for you. If the chosen IPTV player lacks the built-in cast support, you need to mirror your smartphone screen on Chromecast TV before streaming IPTV content. Mention your queries and feedback in the comments section.
A few IPTV players support streaming from M3U links. With that, you can easily cast the videos from M3U links.
